Questions and Answers Session
Q1: What got you started in Bodybuilding in the first place and did you have any aspirations of competing?
The reason I started Bodybuilding was purely to lose weight. I was quite fat when I was younger, and one of my uncles suggested I got to the gym and do some circuit training with him. I didn't have any ideas of competing at the time.
Q2: What is your current basic training philosophy and how does this differ from previous training strategies?
Heavy, Intense, Brief workouts in my training philosophy at the moment with tight form. As opposed to long chatty terrible for workouts!!
Q3: How long have your been competing?
  13 years
Q4:

What's a typical off-season weight and contest weight for you?

At the moment I am not interested in what weight I am. In 1999 my off season weight before I started dieting was 17st 10lbs,
I competed at around 14st 2lb mark.

Q5: What's been your secret to making continual improvements to your physique over the years?

Consistency, Hard work & Discipline

Q6:

What are your main supplements off-season and pre-contest?

Vitamin C, Multivitamins, Milk thristle, Zinc, Calcium, Chromium Picolinate, Amino Acids
TnT's Chemical, Met-Rx Meal replacements, Met-Rx Creatine & Mass Action, Chemical Carbs
Whey Protein i.e Pro-formula, ProRiptide, Glutamine.
Q7: How much nutrition and supplementation contributed to your success?
Nutrition and Supplementation are probably two of the most important factor's in any Bodybuilders success!
Q8: What's your motivation when faced with grueling workout?
  Madness and Insanity.......
Q9: What's your current workout routine?
  Mon - Chest & Biceps
Tues - Back & Rear Delts
Weds - Rest
Thurs - Shoulders, Triceps & Abs
Fri - Rest
Sat - Quads, Hamstring & Calves
Sun - Rest
Q10: Has Bodybuilding always been your main sporting interest?
Before I started lifting weights, I used to play Rugby, White water canoeing & Judo
Q11: Do you have any interests outside of the gym?
Sleep, and spending quality time with my girlfriend
Q12: What do you like to do to relax?
Apart from the odd spliff (only joking!!) I like to go out for something to eat, or go to the cinema. All the usual boring things.
Q13: Do you have any unfulfilled ambitions?

I'd love to take on the Gladiators in the Gaunlet

Q14: When you finally hang up your posing trunks, will you always be actively involved in bodybuilding in one way or another?
I'd like to become a judge or maybe promote Bodybuilding in some way, hold my own show or something along those lines.
Q15:

Do you do any personal training or have you helped others to prepare for shows?

I do some personal training, but normally with experienced trainers, who usually just need that bit of extra help towards competitions,
or are stuck in a rut
Q16: Do you prefer to train with partner or train alone?
Definitely with a partner, especially if they're as hungry and committed as you are, fortunately for me I've got a training partner like that.
